The identifier placed in brackets is used to denote and recognize the next digits. The identifier (241) defines that the 5 next digits represent the builder of the NATO product and subsequent digits the product code. For example the string (241)A6389EPSON890 means that the product that you are tracing is a printer model EPSON890 built or supplied by the manufacturer/supplier NATO A6389 which is the Epson Italy.
